Designed to fit in our Traditional Cycle Shelters, the Traditional Cycle Rack is a single sided bike rack for six or eight bicycles.
Each of the different styles of rack we offer have slots into which bike wheels, including mountain bike wheels fit, and can be secured using a chain and padlock. These slots alternate at two levels, first high and then low. The low level slots accept bike wheels on the ground, whereas the higher level slots accept bike wheels elevated by 30-40cm into the air.
Accordingly, the handle bars of adjacent bikes (the widest part of the bikes) do not conflict with each other as they are not on the same level – one is raised over the other. This means that a large number of bikes can be stored securely in a confined space, for example eight bikes in a 3m run.
