Cupboard Direct Ltd can supply sumps and trays for a wide variety of applications, made in steel, GRP or polyethylene. Polyethylene sumps are ideal for many liquids and provide good value for money. They are made in two ways: injection moulding or rotational moulding. The former are more densely made and take up less space; the latter tend to take up a little more space but cost less to make. This section contains our ranges of injection moulded and rotational moulded polyethylene sumps. Our steel and GRP sump ranges can be found here: http://www.cupboardsdirect.co.uk/s/248/drum-handling-storage Which size? Most regulations, and therefore the industry norm, calculate the volume of sump required as 110% of the volume of the largest container stored or 25% of the aggregate volume of several containers, whichever is the greater. The sump should be large enough to encompass the primary container and any ancillary equipment used, such as a pump. It should be robust enough to resist normal loadings and daily use.
